About Sunshine City Delivery Services

Sunshine City Delivery Services (SCDS) is a registered small business that began operations in 2021 providing courier and delivery services to residents of the city of Portmore, Jamaica. As the Coronavirus 2019 pandemic continues to rage, we assist people who prefer not to leave their homes with purchasing their food, groceries, medications, courier and bearer services at a reasonable cost. With the advent of the Jamaican's government E-commerce National Delivery Service (ENDS), SCDS started operations by participating in the programme.

SCDS was founded by Shannell Talbert, who is an educator by profession but an entrepreneur in spirit. In starting the business, Mr. Alwayne Lovelace, a University Student by profession and Mr. Brandon Gray assisted Mr Talbert and worked hard to start off the business. Unfortunately, Mr. Gray was unable to stay to participate in the actual start-up of the business. Mr. Lovelace remained on th staff as a company director and started out monitoring the delivery trips for the riders.

Today, we provide many courier and bearer services and we are seeking to establish and build the brand as one that provides world-class customer service.

Our Team

This business embraces young people from various walks of life. We would like to see this business as a vehicle through which many young people can develop a skill while gaining meaningful employment.
